1987 Jeep Wrangler
New addition to me.  Purchased on 04-10-04.  I have wanted another Jeep ever since I sold my 1954 Wyllis.  this Jeep is an 87 with the 4-cylinder.  I was not looking for speed or lunacy.  I had that in the last jeep.  this time I just wanted something to play with.  It came with 32" tires and lots of stuff to work on.  I have the top and doors but the top is a loss.  It shreaded itself on the trip back from San Antonio.  The first items of business are fixing the excessive steering play, a tuneup, striping the rotted carpet from it, installing a secure area for locking up valuables and a stereo.  I believe I will have lots of fun with this.  More pics shortly.

This is my Waterloo.  I have discovered the wonderful world of corosion.  This is the biggest bucket of rust I have ever seen.  It was all hidden well with the carpeting and the running boards.  I saw a few signs but very very little.  Since pulling up the carpeting I found the floor to be total swiss cheese.  The water pump and fuel pump both went out and I have had to change the drivers seat because the insides rusted and the structure fell apart.  Oh well, I had to take it in the gut sooner or later.  At least it runs good.  I have located a new tub for $700.  Now, do I sink more money in this or take my beating and get out from under it?
