2003 LUGOFF-ELGIN
FOOTBALL
DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO L-E
From Upstate SC:
Take I-26 towards
Columbia. In Columbia, take I-20 toward Florence to exit 92 (Hwy
601). Exit comes around in a circle, and you will bear right toward Lugoff
-- careful, as there is no acceleration lane here. Take Hwy 601 back
under the overpass toward Lugoff for approximately 4 miles. This is a
four lane divided highway, and after about 4 miles, it will go from two
lanes to one lane where it meets US 1. You will see a left turn lane
to take US 1 toward Elgin behind a convenience store where Hwy 601 goes to one
lane. Take this turn to the stop sign, then cross onto US 1 toward
Elgin. This is also a four lane divided highway and you will come back
under an overpass and see up ahead where US 1 goes from four lanes to two going
back uphill toward Elgin. Take US 1 approx. 1~1.5 miles uphill. The
school and stadium are at the top of the hill on the right. You guys
should take the second entrance into the high school's parking lot (the first
entrance is to the middle school) and park behind the visitor's
side. The gate will be in the corner nearest the school.
We have plenty of places
to eat if you take Hwy 601 on around to the right to merge with US 1 going
toward Camden. The following is a list of the most popular places to eat:
Shoney's (803)438-6883
McDonald's
(803)438-6666
Sub
Station II (803)438-9005
KFC
(803)438-1113
Western
Sizzlin' (803)438-5200
Captain
D's (803)438-9144
Sonic
Drive In (803)438-7006
Burger
King (803)438-8527
San
Jose (Mexican) (803)438-2133
There is also a
wonderful Greek place in the plaza where Captain D's is in the far left corner
called Lugoff House of Pizza (803)438-2472-- they have anything you could want,
hot subs, pizza, spaghetti, etc. If you go to any of these places, just
take US 1 back the way you came and continue under the Hwy 601 overpass toward
Elgin and resume original directions. Also, if you like to listen to the
game as it's played, we will be broadcasting on 1590AM beginning at 7:00.
Of course, we will be pro-LE, but we try to be very professional in our
work! Look forward to seeing you guys Friday night!
