| Yugi is a 15 year old freshman at Domino High. He lives with his grandad, as his parents died when he was born. He is quite short for his age and his best friends Joey and Tristan used to pick on him for it. After he took a beating for them they became best friends. He was given the Millennium Puzzle by his grandad to figure it out. after completing it, he unleashes the powerful spirit of a pharaoh called Yami. | |||||||
| Using the skills of this spirit, he manages to play Duel Monsters, and wins them all the time. Although he seems weak and shy, he would do anything for his friends and he has a strong heart. | |||||||
