| The Quaid brothers are used in Midieval fantasy. They are Dragon shifters which basically shift into dragons of a certain Element, each brother has a different element, The transformation is painful and requires the aid of different person to place a hand on the tatoo located on a certain place on their bodies and has to say "I have need of you". Once transformed they turn into a dragon but the soul of the dragon is also in control, so it is a partnership of the dragons soul and the humans. The story of the family secret they hold is that of a gate which opens up a portal into teh realm where dragons lie. Long ago when the land was new and elves lived in peace, and dragons ruled the sky. Man became greedy and began to enslave dragons. The eldest of them gathered wizards from teh land and had them create a place where they could live in peace, Yet the kings would not allow this and made war with the wizards and dragons. But they came too late by then the portal was made and dragons were already through it, the few that remained in the land stayed with the wizards to protect the gate. Many were killed in the fight, and the wizards wanting to save the last of the dragons brought them into themselves, hence forth was created dragon shifters.
