Looking for the 2-toned Hop-along

Back in civilization, if Zhind can be called that, Findel(la) reiterates the fact that she has to find Tamil and get him out of that jam. So the group gathered info in their own ways.

Valeska agreed to help with the information gathering but was somewhat reluctant to assist further than that.

The newest studs of the group Sylgen and Nitly, learn that their protection racket was taken down, and taken down hard. Investigating this, they ran into a little ambush from the Red and Black Humanoid guys (Later to be known as Bama’s Peak Plunderers). Silgen and his almighty strength got somehow into a bar fight with some of Huban's off duty guards. Nitly found out info from a mysterious guy, but unwittingly had ignored the groups conversations over the last days of the fabled Skull-man, and while reiterating his story, everyone else realized who he had talked to and shouted SKULLMAN!!! The group then knew where he was staying and a day or two later went to look for him, but he was gone.

Yanni occasionally scried on Tamil. He got the feeling that the drow pristess was aware of his observances, and vowed to be more careful in the future. Zack, a street rat, gave the group a little info at their dinner meetings. Valeska racked up some very good information. She met a contact at the famous Sa-ra-ku gambling house.

Supposedly Huban had left town on a winter getaway. The group learned of other people that have went missing. The group got Fatoxhjh and Mahntar to sign on for the duration of this mission. The group offers Sylgen and Nitly a trial period position in the group for a ˝ share of the goodies. They agree. The group starts to think of a Group name, but decides nothing. The DM likes "The Ball Sweat Suckers". Bama’s Peak Plunderers went out the West gate with some Crates big enough to hold animals, btu likely holding people. Findel paid back Menlan for the scrolls of teleport to get Valeska out of her homeland island paradise cruise. That evening, at a private room, the group shared the information they garnered over dinner. Willart (Valeska contact) showed up. He gave some information which proved rather useful. For the info you agreed to assist him with the next Lords and power-mongers game of Fox and Hounds.

The group narrowed down the locations Tamil could be at to either an old Dwarven hold or on old tower, both a couple of days from Zhind. While the spellcasters’ prepared scrolls and potions the next day, and others continued to get info, Judas said he’d check these sites out out. That day Valeska thought to use augury and ask questions pertaining to finding Tamil if we went to the dwarven hold. She also asked "if we left right now to rescue Tamil could we be successful?" and it seemed there was a good chance.

So Yanni, Findella and Sylgen teleported to the room Yanni had been scrying on. Valeska added a few spells to help protect the group. In short the group failed. The room was pitch black and eventually you learned no one was in there, but bolds were starting to be shot thru some gaps in the door. Sylgen did turn one of them into a pile of goo. A fireball hastened your decision to bloop outta there!!

When Judas returned, the group learned that this place is pretty well fortified, and the group decided they were too wussy to handle a physical assault. Yanni cleverly roped Valeska into agreeing to negotiate with the Derro Dwarves for the release of Tamil.
