The Flight from Strea-Tarl…
Wanted: It was then that Yanni and the rest of group eventually learned of Findel, Tamil, and Savuuds’ past indiscretions, and you all decided it was probably best time to move on. Meeting for dinner with the Lady Steilsand, Yanni bribed the treacherous noble Lady Sarah Steilsand with large amounts of varre for the criminal’s deeds. Knowing that there was no guarantee for his friends’ safety, Yanni knew they had to leave. And leave soon.
Some wanted more: More of Tamil’s secretive past came out when he barely survived an attack by a bounty hunter with the name Halagar, but more commonly known as SKULL-MAN! Having some sort of magical mask that instills fear in his victims and magical manacles that lock by themselves, Tamil got the scare of his lifetime near the Black Moth, a popular inn amongst travelers. Barely escaping, he laid low for a while at Yanni’s manor, although had to come clean with some of his dirty past.
By land or sea? Last time, the party was having a devil of a time finding a captain willing to take them, their gear, and their horses to the other side of the continent for a reasonable price. Granted, the adventurers are all land-lubbers with evil curses around their necks. When frustrated for the third time, Valeska was more than happy to cackle gleefully and threaten the captain some more. Needless to say, that didn’t help much. These accursed rumors were invented by a couple of fellows just out for a good time. Or were they? Regardless, while searching out yet another ship you caught glimpse of one of the troublemakers from the start. Yanni, leading the way, engaged him in a discussion (along with Findel) over a pitcher of SeaBuzz of topics like ships, captains and possibilities. The Crazy-eyed Blonde man said, come back on the morrow, and maybe they could strike a deal. And it was good. Followed by an invisible Valeska, Blondie eventually met up with Black, Shaggy hair, the other dastardly bastard involved in the foiling of the boat hunt.
Over the rest of that day, it was agreed that boat probably was the way to go. Materials were gathered for the upcoming trip; mirrors for medusae, wine for sailors, scrolls for fleshiness and more. Words were shared with priests of Swamiex (time) and the Silver Moon (Allene), expressing interest in freeing the Time priest and company, and regret in the cowardice of the party involving a certain lich. Savuud, in his fine soldiering way, accumulated a few soldier henchmen from his families garrison. Varied in skills, these three soldiers were on a small contract and had reasonable skills. Belsham, Dirk, and Tanner.
Done deal. Shipping arrangements are made. 2000 varre for everybody and their gear and horses. And of the adventure you seek, the two warriors will now be a part of your group for equal shares in booty. Blonde haired Fatoxjxh, and Black shaggy haired Mahntar. Of course, this deal was struck between the men, while Valeska and Lena were elsewhere during this contract generation. While Lena was neutral in learning of the new recruits, after all, the group was pretty low in muscle; Valeska was most outraged and has had a few issues with the warriors’ possible loyalties, agenda and goals. Why? Just because a sweaty man you all know as Judas offered a fine deal, and has offered others in the past, and perhaps will offer more in the future. Of course, Valeska or Lena has not complained to Judas himself about the situation and deal that was swung.
Yanni, knowing that he’d gotten to be too cool, too fast for many of the nobility, sold his manor in quick yet profitable fashion. Hoping to take out medusae, find the ancient Lord Gregor Eichor’s treasure, and rescue Callie, you left this city as outcasts, looking for better times, places, and adventures.
