Storyteller notes:
Plans for Act 3
With the players forced to prove their innocence, more trials come their way from other sources. A large number of questions were posed and information were shared in this chapter of the tale.
- Third-tier Horrors
- The truth of Terrel and Squibb
- The truth of Nextworld Inc.
- The hidden history of Orpheus
- The existence of Project Echo
- The hidden history of Project Flatline
- New information on Uriah Bishop
- Finally meeting Terrence Green, though not yet gaining his full confidence.
- Learning about the reason Pigment exists
- The previously unknown Shade which has been called the Phantasms.
To add to the tale and keep it from merely feeling like an X-men with ghosts story, I also added a few personal touches to keep the emotional level high.
- Shep's death
- Shep's reunion with his Mother and his Father's self sacrifice
- Bobby's stepping out of his Father's shadow
- Bobby finally standing up against his Mother
- Andrew's slow growth into leadership
- Vincent's deepening respect and connections to the Mayor, Agent Osorio and the members of Operation Black Mercury
- Amelia's possible loss of custody of her children
- Kate's pregnancy with Hoyt's child
- John's worries over love
- Tom's history
Lastly, since I originally tied this up to my Time of Judgment games, I had to find a way to remove them to make the mortals shine in this story. So I had some strange entity visit the crucible and have them "choose to face Destiny" and cause the Time of Judgment to shine on them instead. So while the Kindred die a quiet Wormwood death, the Garou fight their battles in the Umbra unnoticed, the Mages lauch their fight in the Astral planes unseen and the Changeling softly die a forgotten death, the Projectors face the coming of what they have learned is called Grandmother.
