Act One: Learning the Hard Way
Andrew Everard had a simpler life. He lived with his lover, Matthew Raine. He worked with his lesbian best-friend, Molly Atwater at a crisis-call center. But when he realised there were better financial opportunities in Orpheus, as well as the sudden discovery of being H-Iv Positive, joining Orpheus seemed like the best thing to do.

Until of course the extended missions and training began to put a strain on his relationships with his friends. And the secrets required him to keep things from them. And the dangerous events and Spectres began to invade into his private life.

And most of all, there are the dreams. Or more appropriately, the nightmares.

So far, Andrew is shaping to be the leader of the crucible. But can he keep the group together even as his own personal life falls apart?

Act Two: We are not Alone
Having lost his boyfriend to Sarah Hayes, and having struggled to survive the assault on Orpheys, Andrew is now a man with a mission to try to make things right. Seeing much inspiration from Kate Dennison, Andrew devotes himself to trying to clear their names as well as find the people behind the assaults on Orpheus. Andrew suspects Kate Dennison and Tom Hayes may be mentally unwinding and unable to handle the coming problems, but chooses to keep it to himself. Deep down, Andrew fears the day the responsibilities will fall into his hands to fulfill. If he could not keep a love-life going, could he actually succeed in making sure other people's lives are not lost?

Act Three: Ne Me Mori Facias
Struggling with the seemingly expected role given to him as the leader of the Crucible, Andrew repeatedly wonders if he is ready for the job. With the return of his ex-lover Matthew as one of the spirits who survived the rave event, as well as the understanding now that the crucible stands to play a huge role in man's destiny, Andrew only wonders if he can play the part without breaking apart.

Act Four: And the Holy Spirit
Andrew learns his role as a leader is now coming to the fore. With Kate becoming more vengeful and angry, Andrew now has to play the role of the cooler-minded leader. Though John's admission of attraction has helped him find a center to hold on, the betrayal of Vincent Fiorello still leaves a sour taste in his Gauze tongue. Uncertain if Bishop is truly a foe or merely a misguided hero, Andrew wonders how indeed mortals can stop something that is described more as a force of nature?
