Act One: Learning the Hard Way
Though Hoyt was the very first projector that the crucible met when they came to Orpheus to apply for a job, the southern gent has been missing frequently from the scene. Though most assume it has to do with numerous missions of his own, Kate Denisson and Chet Mason have been suspicious that Hoyt's old ties may have come back to haunt the Haunter.

With a sly and slippery charm, Hoyt's approach to things with a practical and romantic touch have made it clear that this southern boy is no child... and of course the added fact that he has been courting Miss Denisson is something few in Orpheus have not noticed.

Act Two: We are not Alone
Surrendering to the police with Chet Mason and Amelia Waldemar, Hoyt fought every instinctive urge to possess the walls of his prison and bring his friends out. Having never enjoyed being cooped up somewhere, Hoyt escaped from the prison a few times to try and find a means to reach Kate Dennison and the rest of the Crucible. But a near enounter with a military organization that seemed to be trained to face Spooks clearly suggested to Hoyt to go back.

Now, released from prison and back with the Crucible, Hoyt wonders why Kate seems to be more distant towards him. And wonders if there is anything he should know.

Act Three: Ne Me Mori Facias
If there was one question that was in everyone's minds that no one has ever asked Hoyt yet, it would be "Where is all the money coming from?" Hoyt remains secretive of his past, and though he has begun to be more focused in helping Kate and ensuring the safety of their unborn child, his frequent disappearances only raise more questions that no one seem willing to ask.

Act Four: And the Holy Ghost
Though his contributions, financial and social, to the Crucible shall forever be remembered, none shall ever mourn for him and their unborn child more than Kate Dennison. Hoyt Masterson was slain while attempting to defend the rest of the Crucible from Vincent Fiorello who had suddenly betrayed them and seemingly embraced his Spite. He will be remembered.
