"I'm not losing any of you ever again."
Andrew Everard

Uriah Bishop realises it is time to act.

Contacting the group through the hive-mind they share, Uriah Bishop holds Samantha, a new projector who has become a good friend of the crucible, hostage in return for Abel. "Give him to me or she dies," he tells them and holds her above the edge of the two towers in Boston. When Andrew chooses to ignore Bishop, the villain shows he means business by tossing her over the edge. Matthew leaps into an unconcious mind nearby and Dreamwalks to Boston in time to leap out of a window towards Sam just as Bishop throws the woman over. With Shep altering both time and space for the crucible to rush to Boston, Matthew saves Samantha and catches her in time to see Uriah Bishop leap off the building as well.

All over the world, the thousands of Uriah Bishop spirits leap off buildings in what seems to be one final act of suicide. A massive death that Andrew realises is intended to explode the world with a final massive surge of Vitality.

As the group lands on the two tower's rooftop, Abel screams and uncontrollably becomes the funnel of the massive Vitality that seeks a direction to flow to. Though the group aims Abel to release it to the heavens, Shep is caught in the wake of the surge of vitality and vanishes into Abel. Chantal, believing she could save him, leaps after him. Bobby and Matthew, not wanting to leave their friends to face wherever they emerge alone, follow suit. And finally, Andrew bids the world goodbye and steps into the flooding Vitality. "Goodbye. And thank you."
