"Ironic isn't it, that your salvation would lie in my hands."
Mister Jigsaw

Travelling in the Wasteland, Matthew's group is nearly caught unawares by the vicious falcon-spectre of the Grand Maw whose claws were searing with Oblivion itself. Only the intervention of Zyras the All Consuming buys them time, an act which catches them confused and thankful.

Andrew's group arrives at the Archivist's library to find both Mister Jigsaw and the Archivist already there. The former attempts of using God's Arrow are revealed to have had a diminishing effect on delaying the Grand Maw's awakening. Suddenly uncertain if using Abel would be worth it, Jigsaw surprisingly shares information which may prove to be the solution to the dillema: The Grand Maw's lack of comprehension on singular indentities and cooperative individuality may be the key to convincing her to leave the world alone.

But even as the group finally converges by the library, Jigsaw and the Archivist are forced to let the group go as the Malfeans gather their armies to take God's Arrow from the crucible. What ever reason Zyras allowed the group to leave earlier seemingly has been forgotten as the twenty foot angel attempts to take him by force. Only the Aegis Relic which Bobby had brought and given to Annie Harper to use gives them the momentary breathing room for Andrew and Chantal to combine their Wail into a doorway that thrusts the Maelstorm at the Malfeans' forces and give them a chance to escape.

But Uriah Bishop emerges from a Nihil he creates with his Virus duplicates' help and attempts to take God's Arrow from them again. Bobby' s quick Stormwending saves Abel from Bishop's grasp and forces Bishop to try one final attempt to gain the Arrow.
