watase!
Fave Anime: Inuyasha, Digimon 02,
Daa daa daa, Ranma 1/2 with past obsessions for Fushigi Yuugi and
Marmalade boy.
Career goal: I wanna do something
in design (game covers, Magizine, CD covers, etc...) Currently
looking at schools.
Inuyasha yammer: When I went
abroad this spring I was on a quest to buy Hanna yori Dango books, not
Inuyasha. I had seen IY on the American bookshelves, but didn't
like the fact that the main male was a dog and went back to buying my
Ranma 1/2 books. Currently in Japan Its hard not to notice
IY, the anime is in full swig and its everyplace! After flipping
by the anime one night the animation caught my eye and I remembered
seeing that dude back in America *insert light bulb* Too bad I was
called for dinner right after. For the next few weeks I tried to
remember when and what channel I had seen the dog guy on...because for
some reason I wanted to check it out. Finally after week 4 of my
stay a friend of mine brought it up and wrote it down for
me.
The fist full episode I watched was the
one where Sango is first shown....so I was a little lost. Next day
I found the manga translation site on my laptop, did a little research,
then bought vol 1-3 of the manga on the way home from school.
Uh...I got hooked and bought 3 a day until I was totally caught up! I
really enjoy all of Rumiko's stories so I felt a little foolish that I
did not give this one a chance sooner ( I could have nabbed those plush
toys if I was looking for them >_<!!!) It really is a great story
with enough action, romance, and comedy to keep everything balanced and
keep me spending money on it. I am particularly fond of the
Inuyasha and Kagome romance......because its totally unpredictable what
will happen in the end. I hate mush like Miaka and Tamahome who
get so predictable and annoying by the very end you wanna shoot them (in
the anime anyway) IY keeps it interesting and is full of twists
and turns.
The anime has things the manga doesn't ( mostly
with the Inuyasha and Kikyo relationship) and is one of the best
animations I have seen in a long time! The music is also great to listen
to...classical Japanese during the show and catchy openings by Hitomi
and V6 with the coolest song by Do as Infinity for the 2nd end
theme! This is something I can only pray to the anime gods gets
bought by a GOOD anime dubber.
