REVIEW OF SUPER SMASH BROS.
Creators: Nintendo/HAL Labs. Genre: Fighter Players: 1-4 Learning Curve: 10 minutes Difficulty: Selectable
PLAY CONTROL: 8 The play control in this game is very tight, and the moves are easy to pull off. The only problem with the controls is that you sometimes can make an easy mistake. GRAPHICS: 9 I was blown away when I saw the frame-rate on this game. However, the polygon count is decreased in multi-player, but it restores when you pause. The game rarely ever slows, and the character mugshots look great. SOUND: 10 I really can't say I find fault with it. A lot of people complain about the hit sounds, but SO WHAT?!? They sound more tougher! The voices are great, though they should've fixed Luigi's voice.... MUSIC: 10 The music in the game is GREAT!!!! The remixes of the Mario theme, the Zelda theme, the Metroid theme.... all worthy of an Emmy award for best music. PROS: Dream Matches! Battle Items! Many hours of multiplayer madness! CONS: Not enough characters and stages! (Fortunately, SSB Melee is going to fix all that.....) FINAL SCORE: 10 out of a possible 10(5-Star). If you want to have N64 fighting fun, this is the clear way to go.
