University Democrats at UTD Platform We believe in equality for all people, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, or gender, and extending hate crimes legislation to protect all minority groups in America. We believe in a healthcare system that will allow all Americans to see a doctor. We believe in a fair and progressive tax system. We believe in strict EPA laws that will protect our environment. We believe in an economic policy that will decrease the national debt while still protecting American jobs and foreign investment. We believe in educating every child in strong, well funded schools, and attracting qualified, quality teachers with higher teacher salaries. We believe in protecting the separation of church and state. We believe in helping our fellow Americans with a strong welfare program that will offer aid to those in need, and providing a social safety net to benefit the American people and economy. We believe in an honest and livable minimum wage for honest hard work. We believe in protecting a woman’s right to choose when to, and when not to have a child. We believe that a unilateral pre-emptive strike strategy is a harmful war policy.
