happy birthday to cheryl!

through the use of tarot, research, and some sites suggested by some friends, i have determined that the horrors i have indirectly predicted just may come true.

She (Grandmother) heard from a man who escaped from Hiroshima that the city was completely destroyed by the bomb. When she heard that, she went to Hiroshima right away. When she came back after a week, I asked "Where's Mother?"
"I brought her on my back" was the answer.
I was very happy and shouted, "Mummy!" But when I looked closely, I saw she was only carrying a rucksack. I was disappointed. My sister and our neighbors began to cry. I couldn't understand why. Then my grandmother put the rucksack down and took some bones out of it and showed them to everybody. There were my mother's gold tooth and a piece of her elbow bone.

I still didn't understand.

"But now, for the first time, I see you are a man like me. I thought of your hand-grenades, of your bayonet, of your rifle; now I see your wife and your face and our fellowship. Forgive me, comrade. We always see it too late. Why do they never tell us that you are poor devils like us, that your mothers are just as anxious as ours, and that we have the same fear of death, and the same dying and the same agony--Forgive me, comrade; how could you be my enemy?"

First we had God, humans and nature. The rationalists dispensed with God, leaving humans in perpetual conflict with nature. The posthumanists dispense with humans leaving only nature. The distinctions between God, nature and humanity does not represent any eternal truth about the human condition. It merely reflects the prejudices of the societies that maintained the distinctions.

september 11th didn't change the world. but it should have. shouldn't we have used the tragic event of that day to change our ways and the manner we treat other peoples or nations? the bush administration and other like-minded governments (i.e. Blair's Labour Party) were quick to point the finger and vow revenge. instead of perhaps stop trying to be a typical imperialistic, intervening nation, they only continued the trend and decided to become the police of the world and 'stop terrorism'. and how? by essentially becoming pseudo-terrorists themselves. never did it occur to them that perhaps the best way to stop these terrorists acts would be to quit supporting Israel's appaling treatment of the Palestinians (Israel could use a lesson in this, too: how to stop suicide bombers? stop invading Palestinain territory.) and perhaps stop being so overbearing in their cultural takeover of the world. why do fundamentalist Muslim clerics declare that they will kill themselves for their cause, or call America a nation of heathens? because the world is viewed by Western corporations (i.e. American and British) as just one big marketing strategy to exploit. a culture that cherishes and embraces traditionalism does not want scandilly dressed bimbos selling them cola, regardless how much you believe this is aesthetically pleasing and that these people need modernization. of course, some may argue that i'm being to broad. but this is the case where such view is beneficial; why argue over petty details and forget the main problem? has anyone noticed that neither France nor the Scandanavian nations have been targets for terrorists? why's that? their governments do not support the 'War on Terror', nor do their cultures, albeit a more cosmopolitan American style, infiltrate the world market with the American message of conformity and 'only think of yourself'. other nations can be included in this list;Germany, eastern European nations, Japan and our beloved Canada. sure, nations like Russia and Japan have been the target of terrorist attacks, but those were internal affairs, not international. the Spanish people did not endorse their government's participation in the second Gulf War (also known as the Osama Distraction or the Lets-Get-Revenge-For-Daddy Mission). The government paid for this by experiencing both a massive terrorist attack and a landslide defeat in the elections, both days within one another. of course, this ousting won't happen in the States, because the media there is proving to be an excellent tool for Bush's neo-conservative platform, and keeping the people ill-informed. it has been shown that followers of CNN have been the most misinformed, and most viewers believe that weapons of mass destruction (or weapons that the States have but won't let anyone else have because' we are the police of the world and are special') were found in Iraq and that the UN endorsed the actions of the coalition. viewers of public broadcasting news reports, liberal news sources or international news sources knew otherwise, and correctly. so the prescription? charge the States for war crimes, as they invaded another country for no good reason (the world screamed for justice when Saddam invaded Kuwait, after all). abandon the shameful methods used in the War on Terrorism- yes, terrorism is a terrible thing and action should be taken against it, but what the coalition is doing currently will only spell more disaster and is an invitation for more attacks to continue.

I need a microphone, so I can finish off Bohemia. The third album is already in production, and so far I am very pleased with the material; as Bohemia will be superior to Drowning, this be superior to Bohemia.
