What makes Iori so goth?
Well first of all he lost his father at an early age, and it's really hard for him to cope, he may need another outlet to vent his feelings. Secnodly, and I think this is a major tip-off, he's not very trusting. He always seems to be brooding about something, which gives him perfect candidacy for gothness. He really didn't trust Ken at first, because he had seen the bad things Ken had done as the Kaizer. Iori finds it really hard to trust new perople and only allows a certain few to be his friends.
Why don't that many people like Iori?
Probably because he's young, and isn't what fangirls would deem as "hot". Another possible reason is that he didn't trust Ken AT ALL, in the beginning. People like Ken, if Iori doesn't like Ken people get angry. I noticed that more people started liking Daisuke when he was more accepting of Ken than the others. Unfari for Iori? Yes. He's a sad boy, who's seeking to find himself. He has friends, but do you notice that all of them are older than he is? I've never seen him around children his own age. I think he's matured a lot faster than the children in his class due to his father's death.
What most people think Iori is...
That he's a vampire, demon spawn, etc. ^^ I think these ideas are humorous, simply because I've read a few fanfics where Iori uses mind control, to make everyone his slaves. Somewhere there's a general agreement that Iori *is* evil. Why? I dunno. Maybe his loverly personality? Since vampires and zombies don't exist. (Sorry all of you superstitious people out there, they don't exist.) I believe he is a goth, because he seems more sad and brooding than evil. ;p
Why such a cheerful digimon partner then?
Armadillomon's cheerfulness counteracts Iori's melancholic behavior. The little digimon is always hungry and likes to play. Iori seems to enjoy armadillomon's company very much and he often puts Iori in a good mood. *Gasp* The evil child in a good mood?!? Never! Muaha. Yes. He's not depressed all the time. In fact having such a cheerful digimon and going to the digital world makes Iori desire to share his experiances with those he loves, mabye he's opening up a bit more...
