| FOR HIRE Currently I may be able to convert an ATV type vehicle to street legal (with alot of modification) for you (your local authorities permitting first) but I cannot warranty your safety to any degree. Product liability insurance is too costly at present.I can give ideas on theoretical design only, I might offer a kit in the future, I am not an engineer nor do I want to be liable. Please note that my personal prototype is not an ATV, but rather a fully custom creation from the ground up built just for the street , it is safe because it follows many good engineering principles like low center of gravity, wheelbase, limited suspension travel, anti-sway, to name a few. Proposing to ride an almost stock ATV (all terrain vehicle) may be unsafe. Those machines are usually narrow, have a high center of gravity, short wheelbase, too quick steering, too spongy shocks, no sway control, please be careful........................ 6/07 I have seen the reverse trikes- Can Am at a dealership, this is a good development for people who want to ride motorcycles but want more safety. Personally I feel it should be even wider and lower for stability. From what I understand it depends on alot of electronics to keep it in control, I would want my machine to be "inherently" stable and it is :-) I fell of my bicycle in mid-March '07 at 14 mph and am still rehabing my knee 6 months later............imagine if you fall off a motorcycle. Kids tell me they see stunt riders getting back on their bikes after crashes, they don't think it's a big deal but............ :-( |
