�I didn�t think you�d be back so soon Madrigal� sneered Santite �you weren�t exactly a �hit� earlier�
�Well I�m not one ta leave a job unfinished am I?�
�Oh I see you have the dynamic duo with you. Can�t say I�m overjoyed to see them.�
�Oh don�t yeh warry Santite, we �ate you jus as much as you �ate us.� Said Mungojerrie.
�If you weren�t expected by the boss you be dead by now.� he grimaced and Mungojerrie took a wary step backwards
�Cam on lets go in.� said Madrigal.
As they entered the Ally every cat stopped what they were doing and stared at them.
�Now I rememba why I vowed neva ta cam back ere.� Whispered Rumpleteazer.
�MUNGOJERRIE! Darling where have you been?� came a horribly high-pitched voice from behind the dustbins. Out slinked a snowy white queen with red highlights across her arms and in her hair. Around her neck was the most lavishly decorated pink diamond collar, but the feature that stood out most of all was the black paw-print tattooed on her body. Rumpleteazer stared at it, then looked around, on every cat in The Ally there was a black paw-print.
�Since when ave �idden paws ad tattoos?� she asked Madrigal as the white queen slinked over to Mungojerrie.
�Just afta ya left. There �idden. Get it? It�s so�s we don�t go �armin� each otha on tha street or in a foight. Moines on me back covered by me fur. Daid did it when I was still a kitten. I don�t rememba it at all.� she added as an after thought then quickly looked over at the white queen, now wrapping herself around Mungojerrie.
�I missed you Mungy sweetie.� She cooed
�Mungy?� giggled Madrigal. Mungojerrie�s fur turned as red as Bombalorina�s
�Torrorteen ya�d say that ta any single tom.� Said Mungojerrie.
�Yes, but you�re the bosses son and that makes all the difference� she purred softy in his ear and then kissed him.
�Torra gerroff me!� laughed Jerry though he wasn�t making any real attempt to stop her.
�Torrorteen, is me Daid ome?� asked Madrigal.
�Not at the moment but he�ll be back very soon.�
�Well we�ll ave ta wait.� Madrigal went and sat on an empty crate followed by an uncomfortable Rumpleteazer.
�BOO!� came a huge voice from behind them that made the sisters jump.
�Ludinus!� Rumpleteazer laughed as her old friend jumped out of a box behind them. �Yeh still ere? I thought ya�d ave left aiges ago!� Ludinus sat down next to Rumpleteazer and gave her a hug. She was a very pretty queen, just out of kitten-hood. She was a white and brown tabby with one side of her head-fur longer than the other and her hidden paw was on her right elbow.
�Nope because unlike some cats I remain loyal to the hidden paw! Just kidding!� she joked �and besides, things changed for me and I didn�t have a choice but to stay.�
�Wot appened Ludinus? Did Macavity threaten yeh?�
�No! Well, yeh but not different from any other time. I had a litter. Only one survived though. Her name is Tiranti. She will be made a warrior for the strays in a few weeks. She doesn�t mess about and gets her jobs done fast, I�m so proud of her.�
�Well that�s great an� I�m dead �appy fer ya.�
�Want to meet her?�
�Yer all roight� and the two queens walked off to find the kitten, leaving Madrigal alone. Well at least the place has become livelier since they came back.
�Ah Madrigal� came the familiar booming voice of Macavity as he entered the Ally. �Are they here?�
�Yer Daid ang on� Madrigal went off and returned with her brother and sister, who both mumbled �ello Macavity� very reluctantly.
