Just an old day on the road.  Some background is called for here.  I was not working for about 11 years as we built our house and had two children in the process.  My aunt (dad's sister) asked me if she bought me a computer for my birthday and without hesitation I answered, "yes!".  Little did I know what I would get into.  I first found the GPTS, then the GPTR, etc., etc.  Then I jumped into mystery shopping.  I ended up on most of the e-mail lists for this and was doing ok, even making a little money.  Then I started seeing posts for merchandising, so of course I jumped at that and put in a profile on the merchandising web site.  I ended up working for five companies until December of last year when my mother passes away.  I backed down to two companies. 

Mom was one of the original pathway houses that turned into a disaster but had me believing everything was fine and she did not need any help.  I worked three days on the road and then drove 2 1/2 hours one way to clean out the house for three more days.  Well, we are now into July and are finally and hopefully down to the last few weeks.  Except last week the basement at her house flooded and now I have more to go back through and get rid of. 

It is very hard trying to keep up with my house, clean out her house and keep working all at the same time.  About two months ago one of the companies I work for ended up cutting my pay by $400 a month which did not help so I ended up picking up one more company.  Their only saving grace is that I have another company which runs the same stores and they pay drive time and mileage.  I am getting so tired of driving and cleaning that I will be literally dancing in the street when we have completed her house.  I will finally have free time once more!
