| Michael Moore, what a guy | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I'm not going to spend a lot of time on this because, honestly, it would take more time than I have on my hands to completely list all of Moore's lies and character flaws. Here's just a few things about Mr. Moore that anyone with a brain would be pissed about. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| "Fahrenheit 9/11" has numerous falsities. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Moore claims that President Bush arranged special flights to get the Bin Laden family out of the country. It turns out it was Bush Administration critic Richard Clarke has stated that the decision was his and his alone; the 9/11 Commission supports this claim. Moore claims that the only reason the U.S. invaded Afghanistan was to establish a pipeline. As of writing this, the pipeline hasn't been built and there are no plans for one. I'm sure there are more "mistakes" in the film, but I don't think finding any more errors is worth having to watch another Michael Moore film. |

| He's stupid rich in spite of the fact that he hates capitalism. He even hates small businesses. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Here's one of his lovely quotes about small businesses...at least in Flint, Michigan. "You know in my town the small businesses that everyone wanted to protect? They were the people that supported all the right-wing groups. They were the Republicans in the town, they were in the Kiwanas, the Chamber of Commerce - people that kept the town all white. The small hardware salesman, the small clothing store salespersons...Fuck all these small businesses - Fuck 'em all! Bring in the chains! The small businesspeople are the rednecks that run the town and suppress the people. Fuck 'em all! That's how I feel." What a lovely man. He hates corporations and small businesses. I wonder where he buys his groceries. |

| He thinks Americans are stupid. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Quote to some of his German fans, "Should such an ignorant people [Americans] lead the world?" In England, regarding American intlligence he said, "They are possibly the dumbest people on the planet." Ok, granted, I spend a lot of time saying people are stupid on this site, but when I say they're stupid, it's because they are stupid, not because they're American. Hell, it's just fine to call Americans stupid, in fact, a lot of people say that so they can sound smart. America bashing makes you smart and popular. But, if someone were to say, "Brazilians are dumb" they'd be a racist or at the very least ethnocentric. Moore's contempt for America and the American public makes me wonder why he doesn't just move to Canada, or maybe Cuba. I guess he makes too much money in America to leave, or he enjoys all of the personal freedoms here like freedom of speech. I don't think he's big on much freedom of speech though, because he wants to sue (for libel) anyone who criticises him or his new movie. Fortunately, it isn't libel unless it's untrue. |

| He's not a very nice guy. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| He held a screening of "Bowling for Columbine" in Littleton and charged the families of the victims admission. Columbine victim mother Anne Hechter: "It's laughable that Moore attempts to portray himself as an anti-establishment liberal who is the voice of the common folk, when in fact he is no better than the greedy capitalists he shuns. Maybe now that he has made millions off the blood of our children he could toss a dvd or two our way to view." Ouch! Mark Taylor, one of the victims Moore took to K-Mart headquarters said of him, "I am completely against him. He screwed me over. I had no idea what Moore's agenda was. And he had an agenda. He had it all planned out, completely. I believe that every American has the right to have a gun. We should have the right to protect ourselves." Moore's former manager, Douglas Urbanski has the following to say of him: "Michael Moore would never withstand the scrutiny he lays on other people, you would think that he's the ultimate common man. But he's money-obsessed." "He was the most difficult human being I've ever met, there was no one who even came close." Film critic Richard Schickel had this to say about Moore: "He's careless with the facts, hysterical in debate and, most basically, a guy trying to make a star out of himself." "He's a self-aggrandiser, and, perhaps, the very definition of the current literary term, 'the unreliable narrator'. This guy can't or won't stick to the point, build a logical case for his arguments. It's all hysteria - but, I think, calculated hysteria." |

| He's cheering for the terrorists. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This next quote is probably the most infuriating thing I've heard today. America, victims of terrorism, and our troops in Iraq all owe Michael Moore a kick in the balls for this quote. This is Moore describing terrorists in Iraq: "The Iraquis who have risen up against the occupation are not 'insurgents' or 'terrorists' or 'the enemy.' They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow - and they will win." Being against the war is one thing, but essentially calling the bastards that are brutally killing and butchering our troops - who I'm sure would rather be home with family rather than getting decapitated in Iraq - heros, is treason. He's actually hoping the terrorists, our enemies, will win. Comparing them to "the Minutemen" is deplorable. I can't find the words to express my disgust. I would suggest that Mr. Moore take a trip to Iraq so he can find some of his revolutionary heros and see what they think of him. I'm guessing the next video he would star in would be the kind where Islamic lunatics in masks remove his head. |

| There you have it. Just a few reasons to think twice before taking any of Michael Moore's claims as gospel of truth. You just have to find the facts for yourself these days. You can't trust the media because it's all liberally biased. Anyway, Michael Moore's movies, if you can stand watching them, need to be seriously scrutinized. I wonder why Michael Moore hates President Bush so much...maybe Moore's jealous that President Bush went to college and actually graduated. Just a thought. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
