RELAPSE
The most "brutal" album yet by "THE MOST BRUATAL BAND IN THE UNIVERSE". I was pleasantly suprised when I first listened to this cd, because I was so shocked to find that Mortician actually changed a little bit... and for the better!!! Mortician's latest offering "Darkest Day of Horror" shows a Mortician that, in my opinion,became a little bit more modernized. There are a lot more Vomit Remnants/Devourment style mosh riffs. The addition of these kind of parts makes Mortician seem a younger more modern band. But they haven't changed too much at all, only to those of us who have listened to Mortician non stop for the past decade. More or less it's still the same old bone-crushingly heavy Mortician, but better. Why are you reading this? It's Mortician for fuck's sake. Go out and buy it.

Mortician's first recording with a human drummer in a million years and it's fucking fantastic. They do 27 of their most kick ass songs from over the years and one "hidden" cover track, and they all sound SOOO much more badass with a real drummer. Along with having a real drummer Will's vocals are more guttural and gurgly on this release. With the addition of a real drummer and more guttural vocals, these old mortician songs have been given a much more conteporary feel. This cd is fucking great. Get it at all costs.
