GOREGIASTIC RECORDS
This is insane. All the sudden in the past few years there has been an explosion of kick ass Colombian death metal bands, and these guys are one of the best. Mixing the evil feeling that you get from bands like Incantation and Krisiun and the total sickness of bands like Internal Suffering and Goretrade, Carnal makes a winning combination of those two kinds of death metal. This is a great cd here. Everything about the music on this cd is great, but the most attractive thing, by far, is the drums. The drums are lightning fast and the snare has a really badass sound to it. A lot of times the music will stop and the drums will keep blasting and then the music will kick back in and it's totally nuts. You have to hear it to understand. The only bad thing is the production on the guitars, sometimes it's a little hard to make out but this is an awesome cd either way. If you like brutal, fast, evil death metal. Get this shit now.

RELAPSE
Cephalic's third release of drug fueled death-grind.This one is kinda different than "Conforming" and "Exploiting", but it's still awesome. The intro is great, a riff heaver than Rosie O'Donnel with wierd noises that sound like cicadas in the background.Then the rest of the cd goes back and forth between 3 different kinds of songs. Songs that would have fit well on "Exploiting", except that they're a little more metal, all out ferocious grindcore songs, and songs that are just a random different style than Cephalic is, There's a half black metal half doom song on here, there's a spanish guitar song on here, and a noise song or 2. There's no breaks for whacky jazz stuff on this one, and there's pretty much no lyrics about weed. It's still a really good release tho. John's drumming can be summed up in three terms here: unbelievable, awe-inspiring, and inhuman. If you liked the other two Cephalic Canage cds you'll probably like this one too even though it's different.

UNIQUE LEADER
HOLY SHIT THIS CD IS FUCKING INSANE! Non stop speed and craziness throughout the whole recording. This time around the lyrics and atmosphere are a lot more blasphemous and dark as opposed to the gore lyrics they had in the past. I thought that Disgorge wouldn't be nearly as awesome without the putrid gurglings of Matti Way but new vocalist A.J. Magana (who i've noticed has already left the band) does a pretty damn good job filling his shoes. The drum work on this cd is amazing. This album proves more than ever that Ricky Myers is the fucking man. This cd is half an hour of demented highly technical death grind. You have to buy this.

MACABRE MEMENTOS
Well... these guys are totally fuckin nuts. Teeming with originality, these whacky fuckers from NJ (fuck yeah) put out the absolute craziest death metal cd i've ever heard. This disc is full of crazy shit like wierd computer noises, techno samples, some guy rambling about the mind, a sample that i think is from Mario Kart 64, chicks singing in one part, beautiful classical guitar, hip hop beats, and Bruce Lee. Between all this other wild shit is some of the most intense death grind i've heard since Cephalic Carnage's first cd. Exceptionally gurgly lows, frantic screaming, mosh riffs that rival the brutality of Devourment, and impressive, tight, sick-ass drumming that some-how holds all this deranged insanity together. One of the best death grind cds I ever bought, I love this shit. AHHHHH!!!! FUCKIN BUY IT!!!!

AMPUTATED VEIN
The first thing I noticed about this cd was the cover art. Nice lookin shiny logo with a little design made up of a couple gore pics. Really cool lookin cover and it goes well with the music on this disc. This reminds me A LOT of Disgorge, it has lots of fast techinical craziness, ultra guttural vocals, and it's kind of difficult to make out the music a lot of times. So if you haven't heard these guys just think Disgorge with a lot of pinch harmonics thrown in. Along with the beyond gurgly vocals, the pinch harmonics are my favorite thing about this cd. Non stop double bass and blasting, gut puking vocals, fast, wild, pinch harmonic filled riffs, and just straight up sickening insanity. Great cd. If your into Disgorge-esque brutal death, awesome vocals, and pinch harmonics, then you'll cream in your pants when you hear this.
