Another off the wall gore filled horror movie from Japan. Though many Japanese horror films are highly strange and overflowing with innards, this one is unique. A lethal combination of the best ingredients from movies like Dawn of The Dead, Desperado, Evil Dead, Junk, Highlander, The Killer, and just about any other movie involving an abundance of weapons, the undead, extreme violence, and non-stop action. This film doesn't let up with the thrills, excitement, violence, and action from begining to end. The plot is quite out there, ridden with content about immortality, the undead, enchanted forests, time travel, samurais, and Fulci-esque gateways to hell. I couldn't follow it too well. But if you are looking for a fast paced film full of zombies, guns, swordfights, fistfights, gangsters, samurais, holes being punched clear through people's bodies, tons of gore, and abusing women, this is definitely the film for you. I'm going to go watch it again.
