| Hey Will, How are things going with Dysentery? Can you give us a short history of the band so we know where you guys came from? |
|
|
| Things are going fucking sick with Dysentery. The band started after two bands broke up. One being Unholy Blessings, and another band that both guitarist and drummer were in, Led Astray. After both those bands broke up I got together with the remaining members of Led Astray and we just started jamming and right off the bat we were playing extreme death metal. That's basically how it all started man. |

| Tell us a little bit about some of the bands members of Dysentery were in prior to Dysentery. |
|
|
| Well my first band, Unholy Blessings, was more of a hardcore/grind type band with more hardcore type vocals. Led Astray was more of a melodic hardcore band with lots of high pitched screams and so on. |

| Who did the cover art for the demo? |
|

| Our bassist Adam Spalding designed the unholy masterpiece. |

| What's it like being on Amputated Vein Records? Are there any difficulties with communication or location since they are based out of Japan? |
|
|
| It's fucking great, I mean what's better than recording a full length for free? Nothing lol. They also agreed to do some merch for us and shit and help us with any promotions that they can. So it's pretty bad ass, and even though the record label is based out of Japan we still get e-mails a lot. The label keeps in touch, so all in all it's pretty sick man. |

| Your first full length "From Past Suffering Comes New Flesh" is supposed to be out in Spring of 2004. Will your music or lyrics be different than the demo? |
|

| The music will be some of the most crushing shit you have ever heard, like Devourment, except will put you on your knees begging for forgiveness and the lyrics will change slightly to a more brutal type feel and there will be more of an emotional feel to it. Not like I love you bullshit, but like for instance the title pretty much means after all the pain and shit someone has gone through both physically and emotionally you become another person, sometimes good, sometimes bad. |

| You're going into the studio soon to record material for an upcoming split with Corpse of Christ that'll be out in September on Amputated Vein. How many Dysentery tracks are going to be on there? What should we expect from the split? |

| On the split we have to have at least 15 minutes of material so we will have about 5 or 6 songs. The split will feature some of our older songs from the demo but some of the songs have some minor changes and so on, and it will have one or two new songs on it that will give you a taste of the brutality that awaits the death/grind scene. |

| Who are some of Dysentery's main influences? what new shit have you been getting into? |
|
|
| Dysentery's many influences are of course sludgy grind masters Devourment. We are also influenced by Severe Torture, Sect of Execration, and a little bit of Gorgasm, and some say we sound a little bit like Cryptopsy. Some new shit I have been getting into is actually not death metal hahaha. I've been listening to some mellow shit too a lot, like Opeth, even some Pink Floyd here in there. But I have also started listening to some just straight up grindcore like excrematory funny bastards and that's about it man. |

| What was the best metal show you ever went to? |

|
| hmmm.... Probably three years ago at metal fest when it was mostly death metal bands and not a bunch of fucking hardcore bands. Bands like Pessimist, Vital Remains, Cannibal Corpse, Torn Asunder, Possessed. That year's metal fest tore the fucking place up. |

| What are some of your favorite horror movies? What's your favorite scene in any horror movie? |
|
|
| I actually grew up on horror movies... so there's lots, but I'm actually a big fan of werewolf movies so I like "The Howling" series a lot. My favorite scene out of any of those movies would have to be when there's a tourist group in the castle and they think the werewolf is behind this curtain and they impale it with a big stick but it's actually one of the tourists and he gets impaled right in the stomach and there is blood every where and this sick haunting/chanting music comes on. It's pretty brutal. |

| Well, The Pope is the leader of the child molesters but I'd have to say that sick son of a bitch Michael Jackson. He doesn't ahve a carnival thing in his backyard for nothing man. It's like his top secret child molesting head quarters hahahaha. |

| If you had to describe Dysentery in three words what would they be? |
|
|
| Mass. FUCKING Brutality. It's as simple as that. |
