| If we had to pick a foundation doe, Liana would be the one. Liana's littermate sister is Six M Galaxy Tina's Milani, the dam of the current No. 1 and No. 2 sires on the USDA Sire Summary. Milani has a large number of top producing offspring that do well in many different herds. You will notice that most of the does in our herd are daughters and granddaughters of Liana. The reason is simple; these are the does that have performed the best in linear appraisal and milk production. Liana's milk production peaked at 15 lbs. Her daughter Harlequin is following her mother's example, having just completed a 3441-lb lactation Which has earned her the No.8 stop on the top Ten List for the Nubian breed!! At ten years old Liana decided it was time to go to a much better place. She was a tough old girl who left her legacy in our herd in a big way! The comfort we have is that in all her daughter's and granddaughter's in our herd, we see a little of her everyday. |
