Quake 3 Movement
< ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
Now Here is some tips for some quake noobs out there :)

Circle Strafing

Remember Golden Eye?  Constantly moving in a circle to evade fire and deal some damage.  This is not one of the best quake 3 techniques, but it comes in handy to know.  Circle strafing is basicly moveing in a big circle around yer opponent.  This can easly be broken by a counter strafe.  movening in the same direction of the opponet can help offset the flow and give you the upper hand.

Bob and weave

Bobing and weaving in a zig zag fastion in and around corners is probaby on of the best things to learn in quake.  Lets say you see someone in the distance.  You fire a shot and they follow you.  You get to a corner.  You can offset there stride but shooting a rocket around the corner.  Showing you self only when you are shooting.  Dont stick there to long or you might find your self overtaken if your shots dont stop him.

No when to jump

A lot of noobs start to jump like crasy when they get the rocket launcher.  Even if there logged against a wall they are still jumpin, often making them an easy target to the experienced.

Odviously try not to do that :).  Stick to the ground more, you will find that your shots will be more accurate.  Man, there is nothing like a crasying jumping noob with a rocket and you shoot them out the air with the Shotgun!!!

Finally read your opponent.  Most of your battles in quake will be in the open.  So rushing too a corner to bob and weave will cause you to become a runing duck....

So read your opponet zig zaging, makeing your self a hard target to hit.  Try goin for combos also.  Knock them of there feet with the rocket and follow up.
