History
The Delta Zeta sorority was founded on October 24, 1902  at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. The six young women who helped to found Delta Zeta were Alfa Lloyd, Anne Keen, Mabelle Minton, Anne Simmons, Julia Bishop, and Mary Collins. With the help of Dr.Guy Potter Benton, the university president at the time, a constitution was written for an organization that would provide friendship and social activites similar to those provided by the male fraternities during that period.
Tha Alpha Rho chapter of Delta Zeta was installed at Ohio Wesleyan University in 1924. The chapter was recolonized on April 23, 1989.
