SISTERS RAISE $ FOR
BREAST CANCER
Team "Pink Turtles," a group of 13+ collegiate and alumnae sisters representing the Dayton Area, walked in the "largest walk in the Dayton area" on Saturday, October 18, 2008.

Our team exceeded our goal and helped to raise over
$1150.00 toward the  cause.  Great Job Team!!!

It was a great time for everyone involved, and a  way to show support for sisters and others who have suffered from the disease.  It is also our way to help ensure that the cure will be found.
AUCTION RAISES FUNDS FOR
KI CHAPTER
On November 8, 2008  the Dayton Alumnae Chapter held it's Annual Winter Brunch/Auction, which helps to raise money for the Kappa Iota Chapter at Wright State University.  Many members were in attendance, where cookies and crafts were going once...twice...sold.
Over $400 was raised at the event.

Members also brought perishable food items...these were donated to
a local church to make food baskets.

SISTERS SHOW HEART FOR THE CAUSE
The Greene Co. Heart Walk was held on
May 12,2007 at WSU Nutter Center.
A team of 9 walked in support of
Stephen (seen in the stroller and top right) and his family. He was born, earlier this year, with a heart defect.

The group raised
$910 toward the cause.  The event raised $40,000 for Heart Disease & Stroke Research.

QUILTS FOR A CAUSE
In May 2008 members met at Indian Riffle Park.  Each person designed several quilt squares.  These were for the
Painted Turtle Camp (new DZ National Philanthropy) and will be made into a child size quilt and given to a
very special camper.
COFFEE HOUSE CARDS
In February 2008 members met at Saxby's and made Veteran's Day cards for the local VA Hospital.
MONTH OF GIVING
In November 2007 members showed the giving spirit.  First preparing and serving a meal at the Ronald McDonald House... then collecting coats, scarves and mittens for St. Vincent's...and then collecting canned food items for the local Food Bank.
