**OFFICER ROLES AND OPPORTUNITIES**

President
(Standards Outside of the Club Meetings)
– Ensure Club officers meet Club meeting standards
– Oversee plan to achieve Distinguished Club Program goals
– Encourage communication/leadership development by promoting CTM, ATM, CL and AL awards
– Ensure the Club has an ongoing membership building program
– Search for new leaders and ensure all Club offices are filled for the succeeding term
– Ensure that timely elections are conducted
– Attend and vote the Club's proxy at District council meetings or that a member attends and votes
– Votes at Regional and International business meetings

– Ensure meetings start and end on time
– Make sure guests are warmly and enthusiastically introduced
– Allow time before and after the meetings to speak with guest
– Make special announcements at meetings
– Closes meetings
Immediate Past President Vice President Education Vice President Membership Vice President Public Relations Secretary Treasurer Sergeant at Arms
– Provides guidance and serves as a resource to the club
– Chairs the Nominating Committee
– Assists in the preparation of the Club Success Plan
– Promotes the Club's efforts to become a Distinguished Club

– Plan club meetings
– Complete schedules and assignments at least three weeks in advance
– Promote participation in the Toastmasters educational program
– Track all members' progress towards CTM, ATM, CL, and AL awards
– Assign every new member a mentor
– Attend District council meetings and vote the proxy
– Vote at Regional and International business meetings

– Monitor club performance quarterly in cooperation with the Club President
– Initial speakers' Records of Assignments
– Preside over the meeting when the President is absent
– Address members needs and guests questions after the meeting

– Follow up on and keep track of guests and new members joining
– Send follow up notes to guests
– Explain educational program to all prospective members
– Collect membership applications

– Greet guests and have each complete guest card
– Report on current membership
– Promote membership campaigns
– Coordinates an inducation ceremonly for new members

– Produce and distribute a Club newsletter monthly

– Ask for contributions to the newsletter

– Maintain an accurate membership roster
– Handle general club correspondence

– Provide bank with a signature card
– Prepare and send dues/statements to Toastmasters International

– Pay bills and keep records of all financial transactions

– Submit Club accounts for audit
