The
Master Evaluator is just what the name implies, an evaluator of anything and
everything that took place throughout the meeting. You are responsible for the evaluation team which
consists of the timer, grammarian and speech evaluators.
Take notes, during the meeting, on everything that happens (or doesn't - but should). Cover each participant on the program. Look for acceptable and unacceptable examples of preparation, organization, delivery, enthusiasm, observation, and general performance of duties.
o
After evaluations are given, ask for voting of best Evaluator and that all other voting (i.e., best table topics, best speaker) is finalized. o
Announce Winners. o
Wrap up by giving your general evaluation of the meeting, using the notes you took as suggested above. o
Return control of the meeting back to the Toastmaster.
The responsibility of Master Evaluator are large but so are the rewards.
