Hosting a Show
- When hosting a show, you must (of course) put the different levels of the disciplines into the show, but the halter levels must be: Sr Stallions, Jr Stallions, Geldings, Colts, Sr Mares, Jr Mares, & Filles. In each class you need to show exactly where each horse placed, and (for halter shows) name a Grand Champion of Each Gender, and a show champion and reseve show champion. The show and reserve show champions will be one of the Grand Champions of the genders. The Grand Champion of the genders will be a horse that won a class of that gender. For example: Sparky won Jr Mares. Last year she came in second to Momo in the Jr Mares International Championships. Momo is now in the Sr Mares, which she won. The Filly champion is a newcomer, Pecki. Momo would be likely to win, but Sparky has a chance of getting the Grand Champion Mare title. See?
- Another rule... if say a horse has won the Dressage Grand Prix at a high level show, then they are not likely to lose it at a smaller, AHA unsponsored show. Try to make things realistic... do not put an international champion in last place because 'they have already had their glory'. Y'know? I know it's easy to be biased but please try to be realistic and judge by AHA past preformances. If you need to see what a horse has really accomplished in the AHA, please look at the Regestered list. Under each horse's name it will list what (if anything) they have accomplished.
