Delta and Mark steal the show

FORGET the Logies. It was Delta Goodrem and boyfriend Mark Philippoussis' night as they dazzled on the red carpet.
Emerging from a stretch limo, the pair spent about an hour on the walkway, with Delta heading to her faithful fans at any opportunity to shake hands and sign autographs.
Security tightened around the relaxed and beaming pair, who appeared very much in love as they soaked up the atmosphere.
Philippoussis stood quietly aside as Goodrem was whisked to and from various media outlets.
Goodrem ditched her trademark blonde wispy wig, instead opting to bare her own short, dark, crisp hair.
She shone in a Peter Morrissey black silk, one-shoulder twist dress, that swung into a smart and classic train.
And Philippoussis didn't scrub up too badly either, wearing a smart, black Hugo Boss suit and an open-necked shirt.
A silver cross hung around his neck.
But the constant smile on Goodrem's face belied what was happening at ground level.
Her mesh ankle-strap stiletto on the right foot had broken and no amount of repair by assistants on the red carpet
could help. "This happened last time when I ripped my dress last year," she laughed. "And now it's the shoe!"
The shoes were, however, replaced for another pair as Goodrem and boyfriend walked into the Crown complex.
"I think she looks as stunning and gorgeous as ever, and I'm very proud of her," Philippoussis said through a wide smile.
Holding his girlfriend's hand, or touching her back, Philippoussis made sure he wasn't too far away from his beloved.
The Herald Sun asked Philippoussis if he was in for a big night at the notorious Logies after-parties.
"Wherever Delta goes I'm here to support her. But what are they like? Tell me." he asked.
When told they were a little messy, he laughed and said he wouldn't be partaking in such a big one after all with an overseas flight to board today.
He was due to fly back to Florida this morning to return to his training schedule.
Philippoussis said he liked the fact the spotlight wasn't on him as much and said he planned to enjoy their night at the Logies.
"It's different. We've done this in Monte Carlo, but here it's different."
While he and Goodrem have been recently snapped relaxing at Bells Beach, it appears in their downtime together in Australia a bit of piano tuning has been the order of the day.
Philippoussis said Goodrem had spent time showing him how to play the piano and sing a few of her ballads.
"I'm learning, I'm learning. I've done a few ballads, and I've sung a few of her songs," he said with a hint of a smile.
He added that Goodrem thought he wasn't too hot with the microphone.
