PART THREE
ABSOLUTION

ABSOLUTION

Two boys were born,
On the same day and place,
Two baby boys,
Each a different race.

All through grade school years,
You would see them hand in hand,
Little buddies were these boys,
And life for them was grand.

They made a pact when they were ten,
And swore it to be true,
"Forever Brothers" you and I,
Until our day on earth is through.

High school wasn't any different,
Girls and cars were their play,
They even stood side by side,
On college graduation day.

The military was their calling,
A flyer one would be,
The other one a Corpsman,
Together air, land and sea.

They found themselves in a war,
In a far and distant land,
One re-supplied the other,
Who cared for his fellow man.

Our tour is over brother,
It's time that we go home,
I'm flying out to get you,
We'll have some quiet time alone.

No one knows what happened that day,
But we will place them side by side,
This was the way they were found,
The day these two Hero's died.

"Together Forever Smooth And Doc"
We placed upon their stone,
May these two brothers rest in peace,
Together, never alone.
