The Summary of Icarus
December 1, 2005
This story is about a father name  Daedalus and his son name Icarus. The story tells us how Daedalus did some

work  for the king Minos' enemies behind the king's back. King Minos did not like that, so he  sentences Daedalus

and his son to a labyrinth (jail) for life. They escaped the labyrinth but were still trapped on the island. Daedalus  was

a very talented man. He could make thing with his hands.  Daedalus came up with an idea of creating some wings to

fly off of the  island He created wings for him and his son. After he finished the wings,  Daedalus put them on himself

and his son. He told his son not to fly to  close to the sun because the heat would melt the wax on the wings.

He also told Icarus not to fly to close to the water otherwise his wings  would become wet and he  would perish in the

ocean. Icarus did not listen to his father and flew to  close to the sun.His wings melted; he fell into the ocean. Icarus

perished in the ocean (Bullfinch).
