Charles Ephraim Fers, son of Jean (John) and Martha Ida (Rader) Fers, was born July 15, 1909, in Coweta, Okla., and departed this life Feb. 14, 2004, in his home at the age of 94 years, 6 months and 30 days of age.He was brought to Webster County as a child and has lived and worked on the family farm all of his life. As a young man, he went to Colorado to work as a cowboy on a ranch. Upon returning, he helped to build Highway 66, worked on the construction of the power lines from the Lake of the Ozarks, worked in a service station on Old 66, and sawed wood with a homemade "Model T" wood saw for the community. He was a dairy farmer and raised beef cattle. Charlie loved to travel in the western part of the United States. Hunting was a great passion that Charlie loved so well. He was a faithful member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Conway, and also served on the school board. He helped take care of his parents and other members of his family until their deaths, and extended a helping hand to William McLaughlin and Henry Reed, who had no family to care for them.
On Jan. 6, 1932, he was united in marriage to Hilda Blanche Hendrix, and to this union, five children were born. She preceded him in death, as well as two other wives, Ethel Fers and Ruby Lee Fers.
Preceding him in death also were his parents; two great-grandsons, Bobby Ray Underwood and Robert Rippee; four half-sisters, Ann Davenport, Ora Renner, Edoth Lilly and Agnes Renner; and one sister, Mary DeLo.
Survivors include four daughters, Rebecca Ann Cantrell, Niangua, Oleta Brown and husband Tom, Conway, Shirley Turner and husband John, Springfield, and Ida Marie Lovell, Jefferson City; one son, John Fers and wife Joyce, Marshfield; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great- grandchildren; two step-daughters, Maxine Lantz and husband Allen, Nixa, and Donna Archer and husband Richard, Lebanon; one step-son, Richard Duell, the state of Ohio; a number of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren and one favorite nephew, Donald DeLo, St. Cloud, Fla.
Charlie will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
Funeral mass for Charles E. Fers will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Conway, with Fr. Patrick Teter officiating under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Marshfield. Burial will be in Reed Cemetery, near Conway. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Reed Cemetery Fund and can be left at the funeral home.

Loretta Ann Green, 55, of Fair Grove, lost her courageous 14-year battle with cancer at 1:25 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2007, in her home, but she never lost her love for her family, life or the Lord. She never failed to have a smile on her face and she could find the good in anyone. She graduated in 1971 from Glendale High School and worked for GE for 24 years. Loretta enjoyed horseback riding and trail riding. She loved animals, especially cats and horses. Loretta was a devoted wife to David Green whom she married April 20, 1974, in Springfield, Mo. She decided to obey the gospel in late childhood and was baptized at North National Church of Christ. She then attended church there for the remainder of her life. She truly loved the Lord. Loretta was preceded in death by her grandparents; father Everett Delo; and sister, Sue Davis. She is survived by her husband, David; loving daughters, Stephanie Green and Kayla Green; and mother, Hollie Delo.

Paul Aggas (Jr.) was born in Pgh., worked as a lab technician in 1956, then received a B.A. from the Univ. of Pgh (1958), an M. Ed from Duquesne Univ. (1965) and worked on a Ph. D. at Lehigh in psychology. He married Ann Orgill Weals (January 7, 1931 - * ) on April 2, 1954. They had three children and resided in Pottstown, Pa.

James taught History and Economics in the early 1960s and then was Asst. Prof. of Counseling & Guidance at the Univ. of W. Va. On August 12, 1961, he married Lee Perry (February 22, 1939 - * ) a Keene, Newhampshire girl.

Her parents were Frank and Edna (Hampton) Edwards. She married Russell Delo on Nov. 29, 1952, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 1970. She then married James Blevins Jr. on Oct. 2, 1971. He preceded her in death on Aug. 3, 1999.Survivors include three daughters, Diana Capin, Ellen Westlake and Pam Kidney, all of Greenwood, Ind.; three brothers, Bill Edwards of Winner, S.D., and Fred Edwards and Jim Edwards, both of Kent, Ohio; four sisters, Genia Ware of Tallmadge, Ohio, Elsie Teets of Brimfield, Ohio, Polly Sample of Green, Ohio, and Retha Baughman of Stow, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.Besides her husbands she was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Edwards; and a sister, Nancy Edwards.Dorothy owned and operated the House of Fabrics in Franklin, Ohio, for 25 years. She was also a homemaker. Born Aug. 2, 1929, in New Brighton, a son of the late Leroy and Elizabeth Flescher Delo, he was a lifetime area resident. He was a retired steelworker with LTV Steel, Aliquippa. He was a member of the New Sewickley Presbyterian Church and was a U.S. Army veteran
He is survived by his wife, Thelma G. Gallager Delo, at home; two sons, Daniel Delo, in Montana, and Timothy Delo, Darlington Township, Pa.; two daughters, Bonnie and Donald Davis, New Brighton, and Patricia and Randy Bell, Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, Alfred "Tom" and Ann Delo, in Ohio; four grandchildren, Donald Davis, Roxanne Duty, Angela Delo and Joseph Delo, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Jackson Delo and Harvey Delo, and a sister, Mary Lou Glovak.
889. Raymond George Delo
Raymond graduated in 1948 from Erie East High School, began his long career with General Telephone Co., served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and continued working with the telephone company, advancing his career to management ranks.
He retired from the phone company in 1991 after 43 years of service and had resided in Oil City for a time in connection with his employment with General Telephone.
Raymond was a member of First Presbyterian Church of York, served as president of the York Downtown Lions Club for three terms, was president of Stonegate Village Condominium Association and was a member of the Shiloh American Legion Post.
He was an avid golfer and belonged to several golfing leagues.
Raymond has five grandchildren, Michael Delo, Christine Delo, Kristen Delo, Devin Delo and Katrina Delo; and two stepgrandchildren, Jason Dana and Jeremy Dana.
