Kerley was a graduate from Ben Hur High School & attended Westminster College at Tehuacana for two years.
Kerley joined the Army Corps of Engineers during World war two. While serving in Belgium he stepped on a mine and was transported to utah for rehabilitation.
Kenneth owned Windle Auto Service and Windles Modern Plumbing. He was a lifetime member of Joplin Elks Lodge No. 501, the former South Joplin Lions Club and the Joplin Lions Club.
