Hazel Louise Myers ( Sylvias mother) Retired Knox glass plant worker, avid gardener
KNOX – Hazel Louise Myers, 80, of Myers Road , Knox, died Wednesday, August 13, 2003 , from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Born May 21, 1923 , in Sligo , she was the daughter of Charles J. and Rose Aldous Theiss.
She married Ralph E. Myers on November 21, 1942 , and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last year, renewing their wedding vows.
Mrs. Myers was retired from the Knox Glass Plant after 25 years of service.
She was a member of the Mount Joy United Methodist Church in Knox and member of the women auxiliary of the Dehart-Rossman-Wenner American Legion Post in Lamartine.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid gardener.
She is survived by her husband, and two sons; Gary Myers and his wife Patricia of Smethport, Bradley Myers and his wife Karen of Winfield, W.Va.; three daughters, Mary Ellen Hall and her husband Joseph of Leeper; Suzanne Planker, her husband Jack; and Connie Long and her husband William all of Emlenton, nine grandsons, Rodney Deloe, Tad Myers, Clint Myers, Eddie Hall, Steven Myers, Charles Planker, David, Kevin and Michael Long, and six granddaughters, Kami Krantz, Marie Hedrick, Katie Planer, Jennifer Long, Rachel Myers and Jessica Myers; two sisters, Thelma Diner of Clarion and Ellen Mae Miller of Knox.
In addition to her parents a daughter, Sylvia Deloe in 1993, a brother William Theiss and two sisters Eva Reed and Freda Exley, preceded her in death.

Dorothy J. Delo
Dorothy June Delo died of cancer Sept. 19, 2004, at her home in Renton. She was 80.
Born June 1, 1924, in Renton, she graduated from Renton High School in 1942 and married Theodore E. Delo on Dec. 17, 1942, in Renton. She was a lifetime resident of Renton.
Mrs. Delo worked in the electrical shop at Boeing during the World War II. She was a Group Health Guild volunteer at the Renton Clinic. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and arts and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore E. Delo, in 1999. She is survived by her sons, Terry Delo and Paul Delo, both of Seattle, Stanley Delo of Port Townsend, Max Delo of Renton and Carl Delo of New York; daughter, Susan Klees of Battleground; brother, Lloyd Wiberg of Kenmore; sisters, Carol Gregson of Olmstedville, N.Y., and Shirley Corthell of Anchorage, Alaska; and six grandchildren.


Hattie Irene Oliver

Irene H. Delo: Irene H. Delo, of Kent, died Sept. 16, 2005, in Auburn. She was 88.

Born Nov. 16, 1916, in Woodland, she lived in Kent for 47 years.

Mrs. Delo enjoyed playing cards and dancing in her earlier years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Delo, in 1959. She is survived by her son, Lew Delo, of Portland, Ore.; and a grandchild.

Burial will be at Hillcrest Burial Park in Kent.


814. Lew E Delo

Lew Delo practices in the areas of business and business litigation, with a focus on startup companies, representation before taxing authorities, and commercial litigation, including surety and the enforcement of foreign judgments. He has been practicing since 1974. Mr. Delo's business and professional experiences have given him a solid understanding of the business and legal challenges facing entrepreneurs. He has a strong background in accounting and business law, as well as community service and venture capital investment. Prior to becoming a lawyer he worked in accounting at KPMG International, gaining valuable experience in auditing companies and providing tax advice to a wide range of established and startup businesses. He is a member of the Portland Venture Group, and over the years has counseled and assisted a number of high tech startup companies. He also has deep ties with the community. He has served in a number of civic organizations, is a former president of the Multnomah Athletic Club, and is a descendant of one of the founding families of Portland. Mr. Delo has received the highest rating available (an "AV" rating) from the Martindale-Hubbell International Directory Of Lawyers and is admitted to practice before Oregon courts, the United States District Court for the District of Oregon, and the United States Tax Court.


Eva Burton

Mary Louise Burton, 89, of Port Angeles, Wash., died of natural causes on Feb. 7, 2007, in Port Angeles.

She was born Mary Louise Davis on Nov. 15, 1917, in Metlakatla.

She had a business degree and worked as a bookkeeper in Juneau.

Mrs. Burton was a lifetime member of the Presbyterian Church. She also was a member of United Presbyterian Women, Eagles No. 716, Tsimshian Tlingit Tribe of Alaska and Sealaska Corp.

She had many hobbies and was known for her artistic cake decorations, wedding cakes, floral arrangements, crocheted doilies and tablecloths.

"She had love for everyone and was loved in return," her family writes. "She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her."

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roderick and Louise Davis; and 10 siblings.

Mrs. Burton is survived by her sons, Ben Burton of Metlakatla, Richard Burton of Ketchikan and Robert "Buzzer" Burton of Lynwood, Wash.; daughters, Betty Williams of Port Angeles, Patty Brown and husband Charlie, of Maple Valley, Wash., and Eva Delo and husband Al of Port Angeles; sister, Frieda Damus of Metlakatla; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Metlakatla Presbyterian Church at 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, with the Rev. John Steinberg officiating. She will be buried at Oceanview Cemetery. Mortuary arrangements were made by Drennan and Ford Funeral Home and Ketchikan Mortuary.


486. Effie Edna Delo

Effie married Quincy E. Robb (October 30, 1868 - February 22, 1924) on December 8, 1899. She later married a second time to a man called Doss. Effie had three children.
