587. Frank Deloe Coulter

Frank D."Sonny" Coulter Sr., 88, of Verona died Jan. 8, 2001, at Alterra Clear Bridge of Cheswick.
Born Sept. 7, 1912, in Verona, he was the son of Frank and Elsie Deloe Coulter.
Mr. Coulter was a retired welder at Edgewater Steel in Oakmont.
He was a member of Verona Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Point Breeze fire department.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Coulter; and sisters, Hazel Best , Helen Beers and Georgie Brown.
Surviving are his daughter, Judy England of Penn Hills; a son, Frank Coulter Jr. of Verona; a sister, Elizabeth Peters ; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.


276. Joseph Clyde Deloe

Joseph was in the construction business with the Carter Oil Co. in Oklahoma for twenty years, then did construction work with the Naval shipyards in
California, Oregon, and Utah. He worked for a refinery in California, the state to which he returned in 1950. Joseph Clyde's first wife is not known.
The second (?) was an Austrian woman named Theresia (1892 - * ). Joseph was her second husband. His third (?) wife was Ethel Tallman (July 23,
1907 - * ) of Montana. She and Joseph were married on October 29, 1955 in Santa Cruz.


279. James Newton Delo

James was an oil well driller. With his father and brother Edward, James worked the oil fields of Allegheny Co. After his marriage Elizabeth Rinaman,
and the birth of his son William, he moved to Pittsburgh and worked for E. J. Thompson Carriage Co. (which came the Automobile Body Co.) making
special auto bodies on a custom basis. He resigned in 1911, bought a store, sold it four years later, then bought another store and a milk route which he
sold after a few years. James was an Assembler in 1922, employee for the Pennsylvania Railroad, and a steamfitter. After that he was a stationary
engineer for a Coal Co. near New Salem, Pa.
Listed as Dello in the 1920 census.


280. Edward Loellen Delo

Edward was an oil well driller and worked with his brother Newton. He married twice. As of 1925, he was residing in Pratts Ran, W. Va.


281. Maude (Sabina) Delo

The 1880 Census Record showed that Sabina M. was a daughter of W. B. Delo. Maude and Sabina may be the same. Maude married James Delo, a
distant cousin, from Verona, Pa. This made her (uniquely) Maude Delo Delo. Aside from raising at least two of her own children, she raised Scott, her
sister's child.


284. Grace Alice Delo

She died giving birth to Scott, her illegitimate child. The father was allegedly a Dr. Vankirt.
When Grace died, Scott was raised by his aunt and kept his father's name as his middle given name.


315. Monroe Miller Delo

Monroe was born in Beaver Co., Pa. He was a butcher for sometime, having his own business. He also dug coal for the Myers Coal Co. and others in the McKeesport area. At one time he worked at the National Tube Co. (now U.S. Steel) plant in McKeesport.


318. David George Delo

David was born at Brown Hill, near Braddock, in Allegheny Co. Little is known about his profession; the 1880 Census for Saltzburgh stated "Laborer" which could have been anything. He was probably employed in the coal fields. David married twice: Elizabeth Jane Oskin (May 13, 1853 - December 25, 1913) of Port Perry, whom he married on May 13, 1875, and secondly, Mollie oskin (185? - 19??), a sister of Elizabeth Jane. They were married after 1889. The Oskins were of Welsh descent. David's two children were by his first marriage.

David was a coal miner according to the 1870 census


320. Charles Horn Delo

Charles was born at Bull Run, Pennsylvania and served as a coal miner and welder in McKeesport, Pa., Lorraine, Ohio, and Welland, Ontario (Canada). He allegedly married twice, the second of whom was Margaret Fosdick. Their marriage occurred on July 11, 1896 in Pittsburgh. Nine of the ten children are hers.


614. Mildred Dessie Delo

Mildred D. (November 2, 1900 - 1965) The third child of Charles was born in McKeesport, Pa. and married William White on June 20, 1917 in Welland, Ontario, Canada. They were residents of Niagara Falls, New York. There is one daughter, name unknown.


620. Gordon K Delo

Gordon K. (July 17, 1914 - November 13, 1942) was born in Ontario, married, and became a Naval Engineer in the US Navy. He was killed at age 28 in W.W.II during one of the South Pacific battles aboard the ship USS Monssen, he was a Chief Machinists Mate.

He had no children.


324. Jesse Knox Delo

Living in Idaho in 1930.
