132. Henry Edwin Deloe

Henry was living with the Hoover family in Iowa in 1900.


141. Reuben Arthur Delo

With the exception of a few years in Oklahoma Reuben had been a lifelong resident of Bradford. Reuben was a member of the First Methodist Church and the following Masonic bodies. Drumright, Okla. Lodge 468, F & A.M. Guthrie Okla. Consistory Akdar Temple Shrine Tulsa Okla, of which he was a life member. Salamanca, N.Y. Chapter 266 and Trinity Commandery 58, Knights Templar, Bradford.


Elizabeth Vantine

Elizabeth attended local schools and graduated from Bradford High School. She also attended Pennsylvania State University and taught school in Bradford Untill her Marriage. Elizabeth was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and the local chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.


144. Samuel A Delo

Samuel Delo left Bradford around 1910 and headed for Oklahoma where he married. He was an oil well driller.


431. Max Delo

Max was a member of the United states Army.


152. Louis J Deloe

Louis moved to Bradford in 1928. Louis had been employed as Store Manager for the Bradford Firestone Store. He was a veteran of World War One, enlisting at Ridgeway, Pa. He was a member of Wagoner Company E, Fourth Corps artellery park and served overseas at Merpe and Moseille. After the sighning of the armistice on Nov 11 1918 he was assigned to the army of occupation in Germany. He was honorably discharged on July 3 1919. Louis was a member of the Bradford Exchange club, Veterans of Foreign Wars post 212 and the American Legion post 108.


Olive Crise

Olive and family lived in Kane untill 1930 when they moved to Brdford. Olive worked for 15 years at the Zippo Manufacturing Co. and retired in April of 1961


433. Audley G Deloe

Audley G. resides in Las Vegas, and is in the contracting business. His wife's name is Lill.


154. Rupert S Deloe

Rupert was a resident of Bradford, Pa since 1925. He was district agent for New England Mutual Life Insurance Co. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a member of Bradford Lodge 749 F & AM, Zem Zem Shrine, Bradford Royal Arch Chapter, Coudersport Consistory, Bradford Council 43 and Trinity Commandery Knight Temple 58.

Listed as De Loe in the 1920 census.


Edith G Sherwood

Edith was a member of the first United Methodist Church and the current events club, She had also been a worker for the American Red cross.


156. Grace Marie Deloe

Grace was employed by Dr. R. Swayne Putts as a radiologist assistant for 20 years. Grace was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, the welcome wagon and the Hamot Aid Society.


157. Thomas Henry Deloe

Thomas Deloe attended Clarion State Normal School and had operated the Tom Deloe Real Estate agency, Meadville, for 16 years. Thomas was a member of Stone United Methodist Church and had served on many boards and committees. He was a former secretary-treasurer of the Board of Directors of Westbury United Methodist Community, a member and past president of Meadville Lions Club, had been an active board member of the Crawford County Unit of the American Cancer Society, was a volunteer with the American Red Cross, a member of Masonic Lodge 408, Member and past thrice Illustrious Master of Timothy Alden Council # 60. Thomas was a member and past commander of Northwestern Commandry #25 Knights Templar, all of Meadville. Member of Erie Consistoryof Zem Zem ShrineTemple, member of the crawford County Shrine Club and member of the Knights of the York Rite College, Bradford.


Ruth Edna Gibson

Ruth Gibson Deloe

12/5/2006 - Ruth Gibson Deloe, 101, formerly of North Street, Meadville, Pa., and a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community, died there Monday Dec. 4, 2006.

She was born in Dallas City, Pa., Aug. 7, 1905, a daughter of James H. and Lydia C. Gilbert Gibson. She married Thomas H. Deloe on May 1, 1940, and he preceded her in death Jan. 9, 1995.

Ruth was a homemaker and graduated from Lockhaven State Normal School. She taught elementary school in Bradford for several years prior to her marriage.

She had been an active member of Stone United Methodist Church and was a former Sunday school teacher. She was a long time volunteer with the American Cancer Society, a member of the Order of Eastern Star, a volunteer with the American Lung Associatiobn, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Lioness Club, and a Red Cross blood donor for many years. She was also a long time summer resident of Maple Springs, NY.

Nieces and nephews survive, including Lorraine Tanner of Bemus Point, NY.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Gary Deloe; four sisters: Edith Day, Mabel Thompson, Beulah Hughey and Kitty Waldorf; and four brothers: James, Frank, Norman, and Frederick Gibson.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc. 581 Chestnut St., Meadville, Pa.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Stone United Methodist Church, 956 South Main St., Meadville with the Rev. William Brown, associate pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in the family burial plot in McKean Memorial Park, Bradford,


437. Gary Gibson Deloe

Gary graduated from Meadville High School and attended Memphis State University. He graduated from Bryant & Stratton College in Buffalo, N.Y.
DeLoe was a self-employed painting contractor and worked for many years in Oregon. He was a volunteer at the Oregon Country Fair for many years.

MRS. KENNETH DELOE
RIXFORD, Pa. - Mrs. Ahava Schollard DeLoe of Rixford died Sunday (July 24, 1966) at the Olean General Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born at Mills, Pa., October 10, 1893.
Surviving are four children; Wilson Schollard of Eldred, Mrs. George (Ellen) Keating of Cheektowaga, Miss Lucille Schollard of Rixford and Jack Schollard of Corfu, N.Y.; 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Maynard of Millport and Mrs. Georgia Ann Moran of Alden.
Friends may call after 7 o'clock this evening at the Guenther Funeral Home Inc., at Portville, N.Y., where funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 plm. Wednesday (July 27, 1966). The Rev. Paul Whitcomb, pastor of the EUB Church of Rew, will officiate. Burial will be in Eulalia Cemetery at Coudersport, Pa

160. William Henry Delo

William married Mable Rossy (190? - 1952). Both were killed by a fire truck. They had nine children.


Wayne A. Manross

Wayne A. Manross Sr., 80, of Route 208, Marble, died at 1:33 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, in his home.

Born June 21, 1928, in Venus, he was the only child of Ira George Manross and Mildred A. Davenport.

He was of the Protestant faith and had been affiliated with the Church of God in Pine City.

Mr. Manross was employed as a front-end mechanic for Miller Auto Sales in Oil City, and then later worked as a custodian for Clarion Area High School, until his retirement in 1982.

He loved hunting and enjoyed yard work and flower gardening, spending time with his family and grandchildren and watching his favorite television program, “Walker Texas Ranger.”

Mr. Manross was married on June 21, 1951, in Oil City, to the former Pearl R. DeLoe, who survives.

They celebrated 57 years of marriage together this summer.

Also surviving are 10 children, Wayne A. Manross Jr. and wife, Jane, of Lakeland, Fla., John E. Manross of Georgia, Robert A. Manross and wife, Doris, of Knox, Patricia L. Silvis and husband, Larry, of Venus, Nancy Zacherl and husband, James, of Clarion, Wilma Curtis and husband, Clifford, of Meadville, James Manross Sr. and wife, Wealthea, of Clarksville, Tenn., Cindy Clover and husband, Terry, of Dallas, Ga., Judy Sharrar and husband, John, of Fredonia and Angela Niederriter and husband, Dusty, of Fryburg.

Also surviving are 26 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Manross was preceded in death by four grandchildren, T.J. Manross, John Wayne Manross, Jerry Lee Manross and Amy Sharrar.

Killed in an auto wreck near Westfield, Pa. with his brother Louie.


161. Newton Ezra Deloe

Newton was born in Kane, Pa. and was married to Evelyn Dittman in Foxburg, Pa. Newton was a carpenter superintendent in construction. Listed as Dello on 1930 Census.


456. Robert Idana Deloe

Robert I. Deloe, 76, of Mt. Vernon died 8:30 a.m. March 31, 2005, at his residence in Mt. Vernon. He was a retired coal miner and carpenter. Mr. Deloe was born Sept. 7, 1928, in Turkey City, Pa., to Newton E. Deloe Jr. and Evelyn L. (Dittman) Deloe. He married Shirley (Taylor) Deloe July 11, 1988, in Henderson Ky.; she preceded him in death June 15, 1996. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Smith Veterans Cemetery in Jefferson County. Ernie Collins will officiate. Full military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 141. Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery on Sunday afternoon. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Mr. Deloe is survived by a friend, Linda S. Moles-Hoyle of Mt. Vernon; three brothers, Charles N. Deloe of Pitt, Pa., John N. Deloe of McKean, Pa., and Dewayne L. Deloe of Sligo, Pa.; four sisters, Helen Bowman of Kershaw, S.C., Pauline Wyncoop of Madison, Ohio, Bertha Watson of Burlington Flats, N.Y., and Delores Adamson of Erie, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a sister, Cora. Mr. Deloe was a Disabled American Veterans chaplain, a life member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars and AMVETS Post 4 and was Baptist by faith.
