Here is where you'll find some of Diane's Policies for her daycare....for a detailed list of policies
please contact Diane's Childcare via email.

~Ages of Children Accepted~
Diane's Child Care is licensed by the State of Colorado
to take care of 8 children including her own.....Of those children, I am licensed to care for
6 children full time and 2 school age children. Two of the full time children may be under 2 years
of age.
|

~Business Hours~
I try to accommodate working families by being open Monday through Friday
unless parents are otherwise notified. I will work with you to establish an individual schedule that
meets your child care needs.
I provide full time care, five days a week, and my hours are as agreed
upon in the parent/provider contract. All of the children should arrive no later than 8:00 am so as
not to disrupt any planned activity. If your child arrives after 8:30 am you must provide breakfast
before your child is dropped off: do not bring breakfast to the child care home.
Once a schedule
is adopted I insist that the drop-off time and pick-up time be stricktly observed as I do have my own
family to consider as well as dinner to prepare. I charge a $3.00 per hour or part thereof if you are
late picking up your child. Fee is due at the time your child is picked up.
Parents Please
notify me by 8:30 am any day your child will be late or will not be attending.
|

~Daily Structure~
Adequate Child Care is defined as a safe and wholesome environment. This
environment should be a natural learning environment that is loving and comforting. It should enable
the child to be happy, healthy, and will adjusted.
The child will be served breakfast, lunch
and snacks each day provided the child is in care when the meal is served. Nutritious, well-balanced
meals will be served, offering the child a healthy variety. Each child will have access to juice/water
through out the day.
|

The child is involved in many different activities during the course of the day suitable for their developmental
age on a group and individual basis. The activities may include: arts and crafts; music and movement;
structured and free play.
The children will be allowed to watch a minimum amount of television.
The provider tries to emphasize programs with educational content, kindness to each other themes,
seasonal specials and children's classics.
|

~ Discipline Policy~
At Diane's we find that setting clear limits and consistently following
through allows the children to experience the most sucess. Discipline will be provided through a combination
of positive reinforcement, time-out and re-direction. It will be expected that we work together
to alter negative behaviors.....
When a child is given 'Time-Out', it is in a specific area for
a cooling down period, generally one minute per year of age....After time-out, the child and
I will have a private discussion concerning the reasons for the child being in time-out.
Children
who are too youg to understand the concept of 'time-out', are directed from the inappropriate behavior
by offering them a more appropriate activity....
Corporal Punishment is not allowed in
a licensed childcare home and will not be used here :o)
|

~Items to be Provided by the Parents~

~USDA Meals Served~
Here at Diane's we serve a very healthy menu each day.... We serve USDA
meals for breakfast, lunch and snacks. Dinner is served when your child is here in the evenings. The
USDA Food Program, is a federal funded program, that pays daycare providers and centers to feed children
with good-food for healthy growth....
Meals consist of meat/protien, vegetables, fruits,
breads, milk and juice......
On special occasions we do serve special treats, such as on birthdays,
but they are not part of the USDA food program.
