On a very cold hearted note: THANK GOD SIRIUS WAS THE LAST OF THE BLACK LINE! The Black Family died with him, boys and girls! Why a I so happy? I'll tell you why...NO MORE MARY SUES WHO CLAIM TO BE SIRIUS' LONG LOST DAUGHTER! And of course these "Mary Blacks" always end up hooking up with Harry, or Draco, or a very main character. And they all have long, curly black hair. And they're all uber-cool. |

Ginny, Ginny, Ginny. Such a...waste. Why? Rowling waited too damn long to develop, or even mention her characterization. I adore Ginny. She's my favorite character because she's lead a pretty intense life: 6 older brothers, then a fantastic crush which rendered her an awkward toddler, then a sort of "affair" with Tom Riddle that aged her. But that's all plot and her personality per se was left up to the readers. In my opinion, Rowling was going to exploit her character in GoF, but it had trouble in the many edits. I'm just pissed that it seems too little too late. I feel like there is a helluva lot more to Ginny than we know, or that we saw in OoTP. |

Ahhh. Ships. My current favorites are: Harry/Ginny , Draco/Ginny, Neville/Luna, Fleur/anyone besides BILL!! What about Bill/Tonks? Draco/Ginny is above all my favorite, not because it's canon or very likely, but because it's more yin and yang. It's an artist's dream--all the red and white [blood and bone]. There's some symbolism in their coloring. As far as fan fic goes, it practically can write itself. I doubt it will be in canon, but there was a part where GINNY GAVE MALFOY THE BAT BOGEY HEX. Apparently hexed twelve ways till Sunday. Hmmm. Guess we won't know until we get there. |
