August 10, 2004 - VERY Short Story
On one side of a sheet of paper, write a VERY short story.  It doesn't have to be detailed; you aren't being grading on your writing.  But...it should have each of the following things:

1.  Title
2.  Author
3.  Characters
4.  Dialogue
5.  Prose (Written in sentences and paragraphs)
6.  Plot, including:
a)  Exposition - Who is it about?  Where does it take place?  When does it take place?
b)  Narrative Hook - Something intersting happens that gets the story going.
c)  Rising Action - What happens next?
d)  Climax - The exciting finish!
e)  Falling Action - Things start to come to a close.
f)  Resolution - Everything is done and the story is finished.

On the other side of the paper, list each of these things and identify where you used them in the story.

You will be graded on how well you seem to understand these terms and how they are used in a story.  The longest the story should be is one side of one page, but feel free to go longer if you wish.  The shortest it should be is one paragraph.

This is due at the beginning of class on Wednesday, August 11th.
