Oral Interpretation Explanation & Guidelines
On Thursday, December 19th, we will be doing oral interpretation, which I explained in class.  You will select something to read to your classmates (a poem, song, passage from a book or story, etc.) and must read it with feeling and emotion appropriate to the mood of what you are reading.  You must speak for at least one minute.  We will conduct this class as a party, so feel free to bring food to share with the class if you would like.  However, though the class will be casual that day, the oral interpretation is still a grade and you should still prepare, practice, and take it seriously.

Guidelines:
- Read a selection to the class (a poem, a song, excerpt from a book, story, play, etc.)
- Must speak for at least one minute
- Must present a copy of your selection to me by Monday, December 16th.
- Readings will be Thursday, December 19th, in the atrium.
- Everyone must do one!  (Even if you are absent on December 19th, plan on doing one when we return on January 6th!)
- Must speak with enthusiasm and vocal variety!!!!!!!!!!  Mean what you're saying!!!!!!!!!  Practice!!!!!!!
