Career Speech
Career Speech

Requirements:
3-4 minutes
At least three sources (According to)
Visual Aid
Outline
Due Friday, December 13

For this speech you will need to research a specific career that interests you.  Then you will report back to us on how you feel about this career after having done the research and whether or not it is something in which youd still be interested.

While researching the speech, consider the following:

Job Responsibilities
Necessary training and/or education
Pay, benefits, etc.
Hours, vacations, etc.
Job availability (Is it something thats easy or difficult to break into?)

Your job in this speech is:
1.To give us all of the facts
2.To conclude by telling us any decisions youve made or conclusions youve drawn about the career.
The majority of the speech should be facts, however.  Dont spend too much time talking about your own thoughts and opinions.

Extra Credit Opportunity!
This speech is a perfect opportunity to interview someone for one of your sources.  I strongly encourage you to interview someone from the job field you are researching and will give 5 extra credit points to anyone who does so.  You will need to present to me a list of the questions you asked in your interview as well as the persons responses.  Attached is a form for the person you interview to sign.  After filling it out, staple it to your list of interview questions and answers and present it to me with your outline.

I certify that _____________________ conducted an interview with me.  The date of the interview was ______________________.
