I attended Chippewa Valley Schools in Clinton Twp., MI from 1983-1996, graduating from Chippewa Valley High School. I began college at Oakland University in Rochester, MI in the fall of '96 and graduated with a B.A. in Communication and a minor in English in spring of 2000. After working briefly in radio at Q-95 FM and WCSX (Detroit Top 40 and Classic Rock stations, respectively), I decided to become a teacher and went back to OU to get my certification. I am currently certified to teach secondary level English and Speech and have applied for certification in History. My favorite topics include British Medieval Literature, Music Lyrics as Poetry, Greek Mythology, the Renaissance, and the French Revolution.
