The Tori Amos concert in Saint Louis was wonderful. I went with My friends Kevin, Bill and Amanda and, while I thought I had better tickets than we did, we still had decent seats (still inside the theatre : )

The opening act was Rufus Wainwright, who reminded Amanda and me of our friend, Josh, who was siting in the second row, VIP. Frightning. His manerisms, tone of voice and vocal intonations where all Josh. (if you'd care to see what I mean, go to a Tori Amos concert, see Rufus, then come to the Kansas City renaissance fest, where Josh plays "Puck", and the resemblence should be more than obvious)

Then the house lights dimed again, and Tori started singing. She opened with " '97 Bonie and Clyde", which is a creepy song anyway, but hearing it live was something else. She was hidden by a curtain, but they had a picture of her in the " '97 Bonnie and Clyde" persona hanging fron the ceiling. When the song ended they droped the curtain and Tori came out on stage. She sang "Time", "Me and a Gun", "Jackies Strength", "Winter" and a lot more than I'll ever be able to remember. She even sang "Have your self a merry little christmas" : ) She came out for three enchors.

After the show, the four of us practicaly ran back to the tour bus. We found the lines at the barricades three deep already. I had a copy of my picture of
Tori and Neil for her, framed and all. We waited, and waited and she finaly came out. No one made any noise, because her little girl was sleeping on the bus. We weren't even sure if she had come out or not, because no one was making any noise, until some idiot girls screemed at the top or their lungs "WE LOVE YOU, TORI". Of course we all turned around and went "Shhhhhhhh" and thought it was funny : )

Tori wasn't feeling well, though, and she went back inside and told the security guards to make us go away before I even got to see her. So I gave the picture to one of the people telling us to leave. He said he would give it to her manager and he would give it to her. I hope that happened, though I'll probably never know for sure.

All in all, it was a wonderful trip. Thanks for reading and go see Tori! : ) Or at least buy her new album "Strange Little Girls" and make her happy.
