Alone

Alone I stand.
The feelings wandered as
Pressure pummels in,
Don't try to
Understand it. Don't try
To protect me.
Alone. I stay within.
Surface feelings,
There for tears,
Leave my precious
Soul intact
I cant let them
Show, I wont let them grow,
Those feelings that I have packed.
The onion peels,
The movie reels,
I've let my feelings out.
Now I stand
As small as small
For no one lends a hand.
My emotions shatter
The floor lays sharp.
Once more, it does not matter.
Axe

Beaten trunk of a once loved tree
Bruised lines crease the bark.
Its leaves lack color and all it has
Are memories when love wasn't stark.

Hiding in the dark it cowers at the thought
Of the punishments, it soon will gain.
It dreads him, she dreads him,
And the fact that with him, he'll bring her pain.

It should never have been like this
What happened to marital bliss?
Bliss never comes, never shares
Its beauty for this unhappy pair.

The fist hits hard,
Blood clouds her eyes
The tree is knocked twice repeated.
Standing tall, thinking silent 'Whys?'

The axe hits for a final time
As the tree falls to the floor
The blood lays fresh around her form
At least there will be no more.
Hush

Hushed tears drop
Tenderly embracing the ground
Rushes of regret and pain
In her weeps show their sound.

Her throat is sore from crying,
As she drops down to the floor
All of her love gone
As she is cut down to the core.

Her white gown surrounds her
Seeping out among her mental cuts,
Roses of red now lie
Like a soldiers lain out guts.

Images flash through her mind
What could be and what is.
Their honeymoon, their children,
Dressings gowns; hers and his.

The wedding now is cancelled
And instead the veil is black,
As she throws a single solitary rose
She wishes time would turn back
Juliet

When she laid there crying
And her face was contort
Pain flashed in dull blasts
She felt no support
Her head was numb of crying
Her eyes jaded and sore
Not knowing what came next
Her heart pierced on the floor
He thundered through the kitchen
Grabbed her by the throat
Somehow second nature;
Relations so remote
Inside her head she screamed
Yet her pain would not appear
But on one fateful Tuesday
She finally showed her fear
Not knowing what to do
Alone for the first time
A feeling that seemed
Not so sublime
In desperation she found
A way out of her regret
The bodies laid together, police comment;
"Like Romeo and Juliet"
