As you work your way through The Met, be sure to visit their Permanent Collection.  Your may also want investigate both the Time Line of Art and History and Explore and Learn sites that detail the artists that are featured at The Met.

THIRD STOP

Out third and final stop is The Louvre, located in Paris, France.  Some say this is the most famous museum in the world.  The Louvre is home to over 35, 000 works of art, including Leonardo da Vinci’s The Mona Lisa.  The Permanent Collection at The Louvre is a must see.  You may also want to view the Virtual Tour of the museum architecture and the curatorial departments.

FINAL THOUGHT

“Every now and then go away, have a little relaxation, for when you come back to your work your judgment will be surer. Go some distance away because then the work appears smaller and more of it can be taken in at a glance and a lack of harmony and proportion is more readily seen.”
