Using dk or worsted weight wool
Cast on 31 st
Row 1: k2tog, k2 *yo, k1, yo, k2, ssk, k2tog, k2* rep from *to* last repeat: replace k2tog, k2 with k3
Row 2: Purl all stitches
Repeat these two rows until you have used up your yarn or your scarf is as long as you want it.
Abbreviations:
ssk :
slip first st as if to knit, slip second st as if to knit, put both sts back on left hand needle, knit the 2 stitches together the usual way
can replace this with:
sl1, ki psso: slip one stitch, k1 stitch, pass the slipped stitch over the knit stitch and off the needle.
K2tog: knit 2 together
Yo: put the yarn over the needle to make a new stitch
Rep: repeat
