Artist Statement:

These images are inspired by the beauty I see in both nature and the human form. The paintings and digital graphics merge elements from nature and the figure with personal and more universal symbolism. Some of these images represent my perspective of a certain experience or situation. Some of them explore experiences we all share, such as love, loss, freedom, faith, etc. The assemblages were my attempt to explore the co-dependent relationship between destruction and creation. Most of these works can be interpreted several ways and having heard many different interpretations of my art, I stand by the statement, "Interpretations of art say more about the person interpreting them, than they do about the artist".
